Our purpose
We help individuals, families, and small businesses make better credential decisions. The site combines a privacy-first password checker with clear education about unique passwords, passkeys, multi-factor authentication, password managers, and breach response.
What makes the checker different
Strength scoring and passphrase generation run in your browser. We do not receive, store, or log the password you type. The optional Pwned Passwords lookup runs only when requested and sends a five-character SHA-1 hash prefix to Have I Been Pwned for a k-anonymous range search.
How we publish product guidance
Our initial password-manager coverage is based on provider documentation, published security materials, and practical deployment criteria. We label the basis of each overview and do not claim hands-on experience we do not have. Commercial relationships do not purchase rankings or favorable conclusions.
Our testing methodology explains the evidence, environments, limitations, and disclosure standards we use for documentation reviews and future hands-on evaluations.
